LVPC Christmas Pageant Script and rehearsal info, important dates

LVPC families-

Important Dates: 

11/9: Congregational Meeting - We will have Sunday School at the regular time.

11/16: Friendsgiving - Please be sure to sign up for the potluck! Children and families will go to the potluck first, and when Sunday School children are done eating, we will rehearse the Christmas pageant in the sanctuary.

11/30: (Thanksgiving Sunday) We will have a one-room schoolhouse Sunday School and rehearse the play.

Sat, 12/13,  9:30am-11am: Dress Rehearsal in the sanctuary.

Sun, 12/14: LVPC Christmas Pageant is 12/14 DURING the 10am service with coffee hour and cookie exchange to follow. Children should arrive 9am for a last run-through in the Douglas Strom Hall.  Be sure to bring cookies to exchange.

If children would like to submit artwork for the cover of the worship service program or the pageant program, please bring to Sunday School no later than 12/30.

Please find attached the Christmas pageant script, A Christmas Carol! I have passed out hard copies of the script the last few Sundays and I will have additional copies this Sunday. children should practice their cues and lines at home. They do not need to memorize their lines unless they want to; reading from their scripts is absolutely fine. 

While highly edited, I've kept a lot of Dickens's wonderful writing, so it will be a bit more difficult for the kids, but I know they are up for the challenge! If children are not familiar with the story, there are many great versions available to stream, including a Mickey Mouse version.

Sum, 12/7: Children rehearsing during Sunday School. If children would like to submit artwork for the worship service program or the pageant program, please bring to Sunday School this Sunday, 12/7.

A Christmas Carol script is attached, if you need it. I spoke with the kids about costumes: Kids can wear what they want for their own characters, trying to fit with the theme. Think sport coats, suits or dresses to fit the character. We have our nativity costumes.

Sending a reminder that dress rehearsal is at 9:30 AM -11 AM tomorrow in the sanctuary. Plan on entering on the side door on Addison. Please be sure your children have already eaten something and bring a water bottle in case they get thirsty as we will not have snacks.

Please arrive at 9 AM on Sunday so we can go through the play once before service. See you tomorrow morning!
