Important Information for LVPC Children Led Worship – Sunday, 5/17

Dear Families,

Children Led Worship is this Sunday, 5/17! 

Please have your child arrive by 9:00 AM so we can review parts and practice together before the service begins.

Attached you will find:

• The updated worship program
• The “sermon draft,” which includes all prayers and speaking parts for each child.

Children do not need to memorize their parts, but we do ask that they practice several times before Sunday. When practicing, please encourage them to:

• Stand up
• Speak loudly
• Speak slowly and clearly.

The children have also been practicing “Chariot’s Coming,” which they will sing with the choir. This medley includes the children’s section, “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.” Lyrics are attached below.

Please note:

• There will be NO Sunday School after church this Sunday so the children can enjoy Coffee Hour and spend time with the congregation after the service.
• The service will be live-streamed on Facebook as usual, so feel free to invite grandparents and other family members to watch online.

If your child plans to participate on 5/17 but is missing from the attached sermon draft, please let me know as soon as possible.
