IMPORTANT information for Sunday 10/5 and 10/12: LVPC Sunday School Parents

Please be aware of some important info for Sunday School --

10/5 - Sukkot:

Rabbi and Aviva from Tzedek Chicago will come up to our Sunday School room and give the children the history of Sukkot and explain how they celebrate the holiday, which includes hanging decorations in the Sukkah which will be built in the church yard. Tzedek will have snacks and Tzedek Chicago members on site, and a bake sale to support a gofundme for a person trapped in Gaza on the sidewalk that morning. Children will hang the decorations we make in Sunday School, play outside a bit (they will have chalk!) and leave whenever you are ready.

PARENTS: Please join your children outside in the yard at 11:30 and bring money for the bake sale.

10/12 - Chicago Marathon:

Parking and navigating to the church is cumbersome with street closures, so be sure to leave early. Here's a link for the street closures schedule and the Marathon map. Expect Broadway, Addison at Broadway, and our side streets to be closed from 6am-12:15pm.

Saturday, 12/13 - Christmas Pageant rehearsal.

Sunday, 12/14 - Christmas Pageant and cookie exchange!

PARENTS: Please let me know ASAP if your children will be participating and if they want a speaking or a non-speaking role in the pageant.

Hope to see some of our LVPC families at the annual Pumpkin Carving event this Sunday, October 26 at 3pm in Third Space!

BYOP (bring your own pumpkin); the fellowship committee will provide carving tools, paint markers and a little treat. This is always such a fun event!
