Reminder: Meeting Thursday for Parents and Students!

Hello new and returning Lakemonster parents,

A few reminders:

THURSDAY 9/12 PARENT MEETING 5:30 and STUDENT MEETING 6:30:

Our first and ONLY in-person parent meeting for the fall term is on Thursday, September 12, from 5:30-6:30 PM in the lab (Tech Room 3 in white building on LOHS parking lot). Your attendance is strongly encouraged as we’ll be going over the calendar, introducing our coach, mentors, and team captain, and discussing ways for parents to get involved. If you’re unable to attend, just let me know.  

*Students will have a team meeting at 6:30 after the parent meeting, so please bring your student with you at 530 to hear all the parent info or have them come at 630 for the student meeting  If parent is unable to attend please send your student in your place at 530 to get the information and handouts.*

REGISTRATION:

Kathy Jordan recently sent out registration information with instructions and deadlines. Please make sure to register your student as soon as possible so they can start participating in the lab and activities.

COMMUNICATIONS:

To ensure you’re receiving all team updates, please add lakemonster_...@googlegroups.com to your contacts so our emails don’t get lost or filtered out of your inbox. We’ll be transitioning to a centralized communication app later this month (more details at the parent meeting), but for now, we’ll continue using this email format. Please make sure to keep an eye out for our messages!

Parents - Since we have many new parents and student on the team (yay!),  I have attached a map of where the Robotics Lab is located. The Lab is officially called "Tech Room 3" and it is on the LOHS campus.  When you go up the Hazel Rd driveway to LOHS parking lot, the road curves around to the right and the tech building is the first building you will see.  2477 Country Club Road 97035  Google Maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hTdJeaB916JP17tk8

You can park anywhere in the LOHS parking lot except for any spots marked Reserved All Hours.  

This is where our Thursday 5:30pm meeting will be held and where Robotics team activities/lab hours will occur during the year (both LOHS and LHS students are on the team).  Thank you and see you Thursday!
