5:30 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, August 13 at Hazel Wolf K-8 School | Roosevelt and Pinehurst Way NE Paving & Safety Project Open House

Please plan to join us for a community open house from 5:30 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, August 13, in the lunchroom at Hazel Wolf K-8 School, where you will learn more about what’s ahead as the project is in the early design. Specifically, we’re looking for community input on our proposed changes, and we encourage you to identify needs and challenges in the project area.

Please note that this event is a ‘drop-in’ open house, and there will be no formal presentation. You will have opportunities to engage with City staff and project team members for any questions and thoughts.

Stop by anytime from 5:30 PM to 7 PM! Hope to see you there!

Business Load Zone Survey

Are you a business along the project route that uses commercial load zones?

Please take our 3–4 minute survey to help us better understand how loading and unloading happens today, so we can plan for future needs.

Project Overview

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is repaving Roosevelt Way NE and Pinehurst Way NE between NE 92nd St and 15th Ave NE to extend the life of the roadway by 10 to 20 years.

In addition to resurfacing the asphalt, the project includes key infrastructure upgrades such as:

  • Repairing the road base
  • Installing curb ramps that meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards
  • Improving drainage systems

As part of SDOT’s Complete Streets policy, we’re also looking for opportunities to enhance travel for all users—whether you walk, bike, roll, or ride transit. Potential improvements include new crosswalks, upgraded bike facilities, and improved bus stops to make the area safer and more accessible.
