Race 15 of Wednesday Night Racing

The afternoon storms had passed before the 14 boats that came out to race on wednesday night.  Unfortunitly the passing rain also took away the wind.  The RC with the help of Graham had set the weather mark just east of the LG Club with the start line set for North Canoe.  With the diminishing winds the RC decided to start the race at the windward mark because hardly no one was going to get to N Canoe by 6:30.  The race got off a few minutes late with a slow start.  A few minutes later some air filled in from Long Island with allowed progress for the W4 course.  At mark 1 (North Canoe) Uncle Ludwid led the fleet.  After the rounding the air slowed more, so the RC did a shorten course at mark 2.  Congratulations to Uncle Ludwig and crew with a 1st on elapsed time and corrected time, followed closely by Stinger and Brass Ring for 3rd.  The after race party was held at the Gratto with a very good showing.  There are 2 more races for the rest of the series.  Attached are the results and standing for all to enjoy.
