WNR Race 2

The 2nd race for WNR gave the 14 boats that came out to sail no rain, warmer temps and some wind.  The RC set an I-5 course with the windward mark about .3 miles to the north from the start/finish line.  The leeward mark was the government buoy we call North Canoe.  Do not forget, that new mark to the west of North Canoe is not a mark of the course as it is not mentioned in the SI's.  With the winds at about 10 knots with some higher gusts the fleet started toward mark 1.  Woot lead the fleet followed by Windfall and Uncle Ludwig.  On the downwind run the wind swung to the left CCW giving the asymetrical boats a great leg.  Woot managed to pull some lead on the fleet to mark 2.  Congratulations to the crew of Woot for both line honors and 1st on corrected time.  Uncle Ludwig came in 2nd and IKOIKO was 3rd.  The crew of Fat Star managed a 4th.
