Wednesday Night 2026 — Race 9

Thirteen boats came out for a very nice evening of racing. The winds were blowing about 10 knots from the south. A mark was set for windward between Speaker Heck and Canoe Islands and the start line was north at 1.2 miles away. The race got off with a tight start, with some boats going left and other's to the right upwind. At mark 1 Uncle Ludwig led the fleet with Stinger close behind. At the mark the chutes were set. Uncle Ludwig had some problems on the hoist which opened the door for Stinger who had a great hoist, passing UL. At mark 2 the fleet was still close but on leg 3 to the windward mark the boats spread out. Congratulations to Stinger and crew for 1st with line honors and corrected time. Uncle Ludwig was 2nd and E Clat was 3rd. The season results may be seen at www.lakegeorgeracing.com. Can you believe we are past the half of the season already.
