Wednesday Night 2026 — Race 6

Can you believe we are already through 1/3 of the season. Time flies when you are having fun, and that is what the 16 boats had for the 6th race of Wednesday Night Racing. With the potential for rain and associated winds the RC called for a W2 course with the windward mark being the Diamond Island Mark. Since all boats were checked in the race got underway 15 minutes early with the nice winds and no rain at the start. Different tack tics were tried with some going left and others right up wind. The lead keep changing as the boats headed to the first mark, 2.6 miles to the south. Some tried to go west of the Canoe Islands but that did not seem to pan out. As the race progress the wind lighten up causing the RC to contemplate shortening the race on the 2nd leg near the Canoe Islands. The wind went from southerly to swing to the SSW and in the end it swung around to the north with the weather coming in. The RC announce on channel 72 of a shorten course with 2 horn blasts. Congratulations to the crew of EClat for 1st on both Line Honors and CT, followed by Stinger in 2nd and Uncle Ludwig in 3rd.
