I just did my first contest in my LAK17B FES - I would be interested in any opinions on how get the best performance in this beautiful ship :) I only have Pegase101A experience

I only have 7 flights and 30 hours in it - so I am trying to get up to speed quickly. all in 18 m

So far:

1. Flap setting at different speeds - playing with it - negative seems to lose allot of altitude quickly - spending most on my flight in 0 or 1 - between 70 and 80 knots.
2. Climbing - not there yet - getting out climbed to often (I know it's me) - I think I am using too slow a speed and seem to lose rudder authority sometimes.
3. Glides - seems to cruse well.
4. I didn't recharge the battery and had 9 cells out of the 14 on each battery, thinking I had 1/2 power left -  when I turned them on - then was surprised to see only 3 bars on the FCU........ odd?
5. Did 4 days of pretty violent ridge flying - hoping not to hurt my LAK? stayed 50 feet higher than my ASG 29 competitors just to not brake anything - lots of creaking going on :)
6 On the ridge at 70 ft off the trees I kept the motor switch armed.... just in case I fell off - is that a good idea?  or does just arming is use too much power?

Any and all help - comments and insight on how to fly the LAK is appreciated :) - just getting started :) LOL
