- Israel Accuses Iran of Ordering Palestinian Rocket Fire From Gaza; https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/27/world/middleeast/israel-gaza-rockets-iran-syria.html Reports Israel accused the Iranian Revolutionary Guards of ordering a barrage of 40 rockets from Gaza into Israel. Israel also accused Syria of having a role in the attacks. Islamic Jihad, the Palestinian group, took responsibility and denied it acted under orders from Iran. Israel responded with a massive air attack on Gaza.

MODEL LETTER TO NY TIMES
[for NY Times] RE: “Israel Accuses Iran of Ordering Palestinian Rocket Fire From Gaza” Oct. 28
It strikes me that Israel blaming Iran for an Islamic Jihad rocket attack has nothing to do with the rocket attack and has everything to do with Israel’s misguided campaign to start a war with Iran, a war that it wants the United States and maybe Saudi Arabia to fight.
Israel should end its blockade of Gaza. That will end the Friday protests and Israel will no longer shoot Palestinians. And most important, the rocket attacks will stop.

From Gaza Are Buried After Israeli Strike;

three Palestinian teens saying they were trying to sabotage
the security fence
and had appeared to be laying an explosive device under the
cover of darkness. In the
light of day there appeared to be no
evidence of an explosive device in the area. Nevertheless, Israel
insisted the teens were up
to no good.

MODEL LETTER TO NY TIMES
[for NY Times] RE: “3 Boys From Gaza Are Buried After Israeli Strike” Oct. 31
Once again Israel shoots and kills Palestinians, and then invents a justification for the killing. But in this case, the justification is not only exposed as a lie, but that fact is published in the newspaper. Israel’s reaction is to make up an alternative story that will also surely be exposed as a lie.
