Jewish Voice for Peace - Los Angeles invites you to a screening of the film Gaza Fights for Freedom and a discussion with filmmaker Abby Martin. Martin will talk about making this film and the lessons she learned from this experience. She will also discuss current conditions in the Gaza Strip and Palestinian resistance to the recent, vicious bombings that occurred May 10th-20th. Have the tactics and nature of the resistance in Gaza been affected by the unified Palestinian resistance in Israel and the West Bank? What are the prospects for the future of the struggle?

Abby Martin is an anti-imperialist journalist and documentary filmmaker of Gaza Fights For Freedom.  She created and hosts the web series, “The Empire Files” and serves on the board of directors of the Media Freedom Foundation.
