The relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem last year, and the uncertain outcome of recent elections in Israel has raised tensions in Jerusalem and around the world. Please join us as we welcome Dr. Nadera Shaloub-Kevorkian at 6:30pm on November 13th at Christ Lutheran Church in Long Beach, or on the 14th at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena for her presentation Incarcerated Childhood in Occupied East Jerusalem. Prof. Nadera is Chair in the Department of Law and Professor in the Social Work Department at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In addition to producing exceptional research, she lives in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City and can speak with conviction on the things she has seen. This is a free program.
