Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Los Angeles (YNPN LA) provides social and professional resources to promote success in career development and retention for young professionals and emerging leaders of all ages involved with nonprofits in the Los Angeles, CA area. We offer an array of programs for our members, including:

November 11 - Social Innovation Fast Pitch (USC - Downtown LA)
Social entrepreneurs compete for up to $20,000 in grants
* Two month mentoring program for some of LA's most innovative non-profits!
* Culminates with a "fast pitch" competition and showcase, which includes featured speaker Andy Rappaport and a networking reception with the participating nonprofits, entrepreneurs, investors and other business and nonprofit leaders.* Count on being educated and inspired! Join YNPN LA members and guests at our November Professional Development Event, Thursday November 12th from 6PM to 8:30PM, featuring Adlai Wertman.
As traditional resources to address critical social, environmental and health-related issues dwindle, the world is turning toward 'business models' as the solution. Social enterprises are entities - both private and non-profit - that are created and managed to achieve a mission.
If you want to know more about Social Entrepreneurship, make sure you join us on Thursday! We will discuss various 'social enterprise' models, from micro-finance to job development. Also, you can expect to learn more about 'social entrepreneurs' who are creating these new models, including hearing Adlai's story as he changed the model as President & CEO of Chrysalis, here in Los Angeles. He will share not only his expertise in social entrepreneurship, but also different aspects of his experiences in the private and nonprofit sectors. Join Adlai and fellow young nonprofit professionals for an engaging conversation as we learn the true challenges and potential solutions to critical global needs. Don't miss this opportunity!

December 9 - Holiday Mixer (Culver Hotel - Culver City)
Join YNPN LA for a holiday mixer at the The Culver Hotel. Mingle with fellow nonprofit professionals in the Grand Lobby Bar of this historic building. The hotel will be decked out for the holidays and is the perfect venue to enjoy a warm drink, catch up on what's happening in the nonprofit sector, and meet other professionals in the field.
