Hi All - Darn - I had to turn my heat back on ! Can't remember - but I think I slept with PJ on last night. What is happening? Last night I had dinner at a restaurant that had their fireplace blazing. Think I will fire up my fireplace at home tonight.
Did you know that all of my brats & sausages are made with only pork butts? People always ask me why is a pork shoulder called "butt""? Don't ask me. It is the same with "London Broil". Growing up - L/B was round steak. Later it was Swiss steak (a thick cut of round ). And, lots of my customers think it is flank steak. L/B is a method of cooking! You brown the meat in a f/pan and then bake at a low temp.
Anyway - my sausages have no filler, no coloring, no msg, no preservative, and no gmo. Just plain spices. I use to have the package with ingredience taped to the meat case - some how it disappeared. Pork butts are at a good price right now - $2.29lb. Butts - just baked at 350 is my favorite roast. Left overs can be made into pulled pork bbq or sliced cold for sandwiches.
Talking about additives - did you know that my beef and pork are hormone & antibiotic free? Four months prior to slaughter - these animals are checked. If found in their system - they go to choice. The meat I sell is the top 8 percent of animals sold.
Thank God - sales are good! However - the wait time to check out is long. I just invested in a better cash register to speed the line up. Helps a little. Thinking about this - so your wait is not so time consuming - call your order in for a pick up later on in the day. Calling a order in and expecting it asap is not good - but give me a few hours to ready - would sure decrease your wait time.
I have beef cube steaks on sale this week. What a good meal this cut makes on such a cold day. Ground beef is (5lb) is only $12.99/bag. In store special - T-bones. I got a good deal on sirloin steak - so I dropped the price too.
Be sure to watch for my Mothers Day specials - coming up shortly. Will have my 1st -of-the-year Farmers Market on my deck that sale day too. Hope it is warm.
Lastly - I have in stock - venison, bison, and elk patties. Pac - 1lb pacs. Skirts steak & (calif.) tri tip are in stock too.
If you have any questions - just ask me.
Thanks for shopping my little store. Ron Lahody
