Hi All -  NEWS FLASH  -  Fresh goat meat arriving this Mon (5-4-15).  This is a mild meat, very little fat - if at all.  I 1st tasted it when I holidayed in Mexico.  Great stuff.  It is best in stew or just baked.  I have cooked a few (whole) outside before - over a charcoal flame.  Wonderful stuff.  Think the cost will be $10.99lb. 

If it is warm this Sat. - I will be demoing our brats out on my deck.  You know Chef Matt's brats are "Killers".  Once you try them - you will know!

I am still looking for a meat cutter (EXPERIENCED) -

Hi All -  Just in  -  Fresh, wild caught walleye - $17.59lb.  And, fresh salmon - $10.99 lb.  Both products of Canada. 

Chef Matt has been busy making all kinds of flavored burgers & brats.  He is getting ready for this WARM week end. 

I have been pondering all week if I should be open on Mother's Day.  I looked back on sales and the answer is a overwhelming - YES.   I wish all businesses would be closed on Sunday.  This is my opinion  - guess cause I work on Sunday.   Open Mother's Day 11 to 5.  Oh - guess it has become a tradition - that I give all Mothers a long stem rose for M/D.  Normandy Flowers provided the long stem roses- so the quality will be there.  So - all you Moms out there -  stop in Sat. and receive a free, long stem, rose - compliments of my little store.  And, maybe buy something too.  haha

Chef Matt just pulled out of the oven - cooked BBribs.  I use local JohnTom's  BBQ sauce.  Great stuff.  If it is warm out tomorrow - I will be demoing lots of our brats - so you can get an idea how they taste.  Will also have a farmer's market the day before Mother's Day(Sat).  Watch for the super specials that I will have that week end.

Currently - I am selling asparagus - grown in Indiana.

Hi All -  What a gorgeous day!  Boy - I am heading to the ranch - after work - sit by the river - and have  a quart jar of gin/tonic!   Still have lots of steaks in stock.  We  sold so many yesterday I had a special delivery this AM.  I was afraid I might run out of rib eyes, T-bones, strips, and sirloin.  Open to 6pm tonight  and 11 to 5 tomorrow.     I sure love my customers!

Hi All  -  Do not forget - I am open on Mother's Day - 11 to 5.  Just like last year. 

Just got in FRESH goat.  I cut them up into primals.  So all you goat lover - stop in.  Stuff should sell for $12lb.  I have it at $9.99lb.  I should warn you - It is too expensive for me to just cut one chop and sell it.  This is why I am selling it in primals.  For ex.  -  a T-bone loin only weighs about 2lb.  Shoulder roast is about 3lb.  I froze 2/3 and the rest is fresh.  Goat meat is "0" fat, and very tasty and tender. Trust your butcher - I would not sell it if was not great stuff. 

Have fresh tuna and scallops coming it Fri. around 1:00pm.  Have some walleye and salmon froze too.

You know - Mothers Day week end is hugh for me.     SO - COME ON DOWN!

This Sat I will have my own Farmers Market.  It is lots of work - but I think it ads to the charm of my little store.  Will be marketing outside from water melon/cantaloupe to bunches of flowers.  Plus, Val will be demoing again.  Will be giving out long stem roses to all mothers and bottled H20 to all.  Have to laugh - always - I will have some kid (boys) wanting a free rose for their girl friend - you know what I say?

Sat will be busy - so come early or early afternoon.  I will have 8 people on hand so things run smoothly.   Course - you know - I love cash or check.  Credit is what holds up the line.

Chef  Matt will be busy making flavored burgers, and lots of brats. I am stocking my meat case with stacks of steaks.  I think Kansas City steaks will be in this am.  This steak is not an average inventoried steak by my suppler. Have to order 2 months in advance to receive it.  Have added lots of new salads to my inventory.  Check it out.

One more time - the success of my little business is you!  Many thanks for all your support.  And, I can not forget my staff.  They are all just awesome.
