Hi All - I am open 10 to 7 daily. 11 to 5 on Sun. However - This Fri (4th) - I will be open from 10 to 4.
Will have lots of stuff going on Fri/Sat. Will again have lots of produce outside on my deck. This Farmer' s Market will be one of my largest to date. Plus - Ronnie will be demoing stuff.
Since Kansas City steaks were such a hit with all of my clients - I will be running them, again, on special. This steak is a bone in NY strip. Very tasty and tender. I have been aging them in my cooler. Did you know that there are bone in fillets? I will not sell them due to cost. It is not a good value for your dollar.
Chef Matt is busy gearing-up for the 4th. He will be making all kinds of brats, flavored beef patties, various kinds of stuffed chicken breasts, and lots of chicken-on-a-stick.
I, again, have been re-arranging stuff. I have added 8 different types of salads, more produce, and yesterday we experimented with making sandwich wraps. I love wraps. So much more exciting than a regular sandwich. You know - when I look back - when I first opened - this place has really changed! All of the many products that I now have compared to 6 years ago. I just wish I had room for one more service meat case. I find if I load up my meat case with many different products it confuses everyone - even me. Like going into Lowes and try and find a nut or bolt.
I had water melons on order for today - was shorted. So, I reordered - I hope they taste good. My distribution company will not guarantee the quality - if they are tasteless - they still want me to take them. I ordered a bin of melons and they sure will have heart burn if I do not except them tomorrow. Being a little guy - when something is not right - I hear about it asap. So - we all try our best to avoid mistakes and try very hard for "quality".
If you have not tried our own cooked beef brisket - just ask. It is so good - trust your butcher! All I do is put a little rub on them and bake at 320 for 4 hours - then slice thin. As Chef Matt says "even the fat tastes great"!
CALL YOUR ORDER IN - for the 4th. We will be cooking BBQ baby back ribs. Plus - I think Ronnie will be demoing ribs too.
