Hello after a long gap

And as usual all mails in this group have a common agenda which is to make us realize about our own wrong doings and make amends.

If you ever have time, go to B1 Block on Garden side and see on top floor a truly Mumbai Style decoration. Don’t know whose flat it is but the way it has been done shows distaste and utter lack of imagination on part of its owner because it is not only we should keep our rooms from inside clean and neat, we should ensure it is kept the same way from outside too. Arguments like it is my flat and I can do anything on it can only be termed as childish and naughty.

Putting AC external units, Dish Antennas and other POP work and constructing and occupying common areas by keeping cycles, footware boxes areas are now becoming very common. This primarily happens out of fear. A notional fear. This goes against the spirit of a common good living.

La Habitat is also abode to canine lovers. We all love Dogs. When we don’t put even our children sit for its routine potty exercise at the grass and lawn areas, can we allow these dogs to freely have it at the same areas where our children play? Just think and ask people to take dogs out of the premises as this is the basic decency dog owners should maintain when they live in a civilized society. Saying we pick up the potty from the garden does not solve the issue.

Most importantly, please say no to Child Labour. Please ensure you don’t have under aged children working in your home. It is illegal under Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act 1976, Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act and Juvenile Justice Act. Sub Divisional Magistrate of Ahmedabad has issued a circular asking mufti cops to find out places where children are employed as domestic helps. Ensure none of us do not get trapped in this

No idea if we have got hostels and guest houses vacated from our premises?

These are some small steps we can do to contribute and help our new committee who are doing their best in their first year. Your small gesture in these matters will greatly help build a good place what we can proudly call as La Habitat.
