 FYI

We are profoundly saddened to formally announce the death of one of our colleague - Engr Chilke Chikwendu. Engr Chike who passed on a month ago has been an active member of IPEN representing his organisation - Friends of the Environment -for over 15 years as the programme director. He established his NGO in 2017 - Centre for Energy and Environmental  Sustainability  (CEES) also a member of IPEN. He has been a steering committee member of NASPIN, a national network of NGOs working on chemicals mgt issues in Nigeria until his death. He will be greatly missed!"

This is really sad news. Chike whose photo is attached, has been one of active colleagues, and I spoke with him few months ago and shared some good thoughts on his work. We will miss him. Rest in peace Chike.

While praying for him, we would also like to extend our condolence message to all his family members, his CEES colleagues and Nigeria IPEN POs and relatives.

Thanks Toyin, for sharing this very sad news. Chike was a great and long standing environmental ambassador and a very nice man.

RIP

This is a shocker! I still find it very difficult to come to terms with since I saw this email. I very sad one indeed. Brought back memories of PAPPCC; I can still see him in those meetings/ sessions as if it was just yesterday... He'd be greatly missed.

Very hard to admit... May he rest in peace.
