Hey Guys am working on a project that involves adding and scanning bbm pins on the site, where visitors come-in and scan a bbm pin of a user using its bbm application barcode scanner.
My issue now is that when a pin barcode is scanned using bbm barcode scanner it see it as a link (says: Open link 23de45e) and not adding the pin to its user list.

My Objective: is to scan a barcode and automatically adds the pin to its list of users or send notification.

Guys, please anybody who can help me out.

Hi Akinshola.

You should provide more details on your implementation. How your got the code on there and what information you embedded.

My suggestions: Simply get the barcode image from your phone. That way, you don't have to bother about what information is embedded. Else you use the information you retrieve after scanning with a third-party scanner as is to generate yours.

Thanks man sorted it out my self yesterday, blackberry barcode/qrcode has some encryption type when scanning its bbm barcode, so on my site I setup some encryption format and type when user add there bbm pin, converts to qrcode with encryption formats and type the user now scans the qrcode with there bbm and get the qrcode bbm encoded pin, sends notification to the qrcode bbm pin. Thanks everybody
