bulk purchases update

Hello fish fans

I went to Pacific Aquatics West, in Chatsworth, today and asked if
the owner could order us large size supplies at a minimal mark up. He
said he could and was checking on the prices of various bulk items.
He is checking on the prices for Omega-One flake food, activated
carbon, otocinclus algae eaters, Amquel, Flourish, and blood worms.
Hopefully I'll have the info by the meeting Sunday. If there are any
other items someone is interested in, let me know ASAP.

I did a frozen food buy offer to the LAFF members. Only Peter, Barry
and Elliot joined me in an order. We tried a 5 gal Amquel buy a yr or
two ago and couldn't cover one 5 gal jug to be split up. I'm not sure
bulk buys are in our future. There doesn't seem to be sufficient
interest from the members.

Sorry, I could not make it, though I was considering...  As for myself, I buy Amquel also in gallons, 2 gal at the time...I'll buying it soon again. Petguys has the lowest price on it, only about $25.  If you want we can order together.  I think 4 people is still OK to split shipping, so I would view it not so negatively...

Jeff,
Do you plan to buy in the near future?  I have only 1/2 g left, so anytime will be ok for me and we could order together...if you don't need it in 2-3 weeks, tell me, I'll just order it for myself..
