The Purdue Outdoor Club has scheduled a cleanup day by their members for the Valley Street Trail on Sunday, September 9. We really appreciate their help. It will make the ride in Hidden Valley much more enjoyable.
Work Day
I will be working on the front end of the Valley Street section this Saturday morning from 9 to 12. The goal is to put in a new connector trail to the Hidden Valley section and do other work as time permits. This new connector trail will eliminate the first turn-around and provide a continuous ride from the entrance to the Hidden Valley turn-around. The tail is already laid out and since the trail is on the side of a steep slope, cribbing is required, and I have it mostly in place.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I think we can make a great improvement to the trail in a short period of time. Meet at 9 am at the Valley Street trailhead. If you have any trail building tools please bring them. Since there is no parking there, you will need to ride in or park on a street that allows parking and walk in.
Thanks,
Bob Haan
