Civil Society Organizations in Routine Immunization in Nigeria Call for Applications The International Vaccine Access Center at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is collaborating with Direct Consulting and Logistics (DCL) to implement a 12-month project called Technical Assistance for Routine Immunization in Nigeria (TARIN), funded by Gavi. One of the project's objectives is to support the successful introduction of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in the country by strengthening Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) capacity and engagement in promoting HPV vaccine acceptance and uptake in the phase 1 vaccine introduction states. Women Advocates for Vaccine Access (WAVA) is a coalition of women’s groups and CSOs advocating equitable vaccine access in Nigeria. In partnership with WAVA, IVAC calls for applications from CSOs operating at the national and sub-national levels in Nigeria to participate in cascade training and community engagement on HPV vaccine introduction. This includes a 2-day HPV vaccine introduction training workshop in Abuja facilitated by local and global experts.  This training will help participants acquire the knowledge, skills, and networks to contribute effectively to mobilizing the eligible population of girls and their parents and communities for the HPV vaccine uptake while effectively responding to any challenges related to the HPV vaccine acceptance.
