Say Folks
Those HDs are worth taking apart too if they are shot
or say too old to want to mess with. Not only do they have
the stepper motors and voice coil goodies just mentioned
but they have VERY good magnets that are well worth the
efforts involved in taking them apart. The disks make for
good wall hangings or '60s style mobiles that do a great
job of catching the sun and other lighting : )
My OT question is a few friends and I are sharing Old
Time Radio, Old Time TV and such files and I would like
to find a great service, or software that would facilitate this
effort of ours a bit better or cheeper. One of our drawbacks,
is some are using LINUX, some Mac and some Windows.
These guys are from all over, and we have used Drop Box
a bit, 4Share, Sendspace and a few others, we have been
experimenting most of last year, and just now have decided
to at least for the most part eliminate RapidShare (SP)
for various reasons...
I'm hoping one of these days to find a cross platform program
that would work like the older FTP sites... I'm also about as
dumb as a rock when it comes to using those HUBs, online
usenet groups and the like. Anyone know of a program like
this???
Thanks for the bandwidth
Hope Everyone's New Year goes GREAT!!!
Cheers
Bill
