Hey Linux folks,

Just a friendly reminder that our monthly meeting is Thursday evening, December 19th in our normal second floor meeting room at the People's Food Co-op.

Call for presentations!!!  Does anyone have something they would like to present on?

A minor point of discussion is the research that I've been doing on what Linux distro and desktop environment to recommend to people who are currently using Windows 7, but would rather switch to Linux than Windows 10. My conclusion is one that's a surprise to me... but many of you have been using it for years now (and I've apparently been missing out).

Hope to see you at the meetup!

I'll be demoing the Mint and Elementary distros at the meeting this evening. We'll be talking about best distros to recommend to people who are upgrading from Windows 7. There's no right answer, as there are lots of great options.

If you are recommending something other than Mint or Elementary, bring it along and show it off!

Meeting is this evening at the People's Food Co-op. Start time is 6pm in the second floor meeting room.

I will be there.  I have leave about 1930.

No demo on my part, but I would like to talk about my solar power installation experience.
