I thought the watercolor look will be beautiful with this Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder and that's what I did. All you need are Soothe and Smooth Watercolor Paper and Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set. The dry-embossed textures and ridges are fantastic for watercoloring. To ensure the success of watercoloring, you must use good watercolor paper such as the Soothe and Smooth Watercolor Paper. Don't forget to use Altenew Watercolor Brushes (Round or Detailed) for better control of the watercoloring. To enhance the details, I highlighted the dry-embossed ridges of the blossoms with the Fine Liner Pen Set (size 01) and Metallic Watercolor 14 Color Pan Set.

This gorgeous embossing folder is any plant lover's dream. I started out by inking up the background in assorted green inks. I then ran the Classic White Solar White Cardstock with the Hosta 3D Embossing Folder.

This is a great feature request. I would also add the option to select whether one can still search & embed notes/images/other data from the hidden folders. Also through a right-click menu, something like Keep this folder searchable.

A gorgeous card, love the green embossed background and the lovely die cut flower is shown off beautifully. Jessie reminds me of our Abbey, a beautiful photo, good to hear you are settled and happy. x

the inking on your embossing folder turned out brilliantly. I love the look of it. What a perfect background for your simple die cut flower. I am so glad that the move is working out for you all. Jessie included xx

Hi Loll - Your card, as usual is very delightful and I'm happy to hear your move has worked so well for you and your hubby, Jess, Jer, Alex and Violetta. Jess looks wonderful and I'm quite sure she is enjoying the walks, extra playtime with Violetta and the extra attention. Belated 5th birthday wishes for Jess. (It was the 19th, right?)

I love how your card turned out with that bit of softly colored embossing and the fun, pretty flower growing up the front of it. I have trouble doing this inking technique to my satisfaction, but this looks amazing! I'm super extra happy to see Jessie today, too! She's so pretty and Alex does the most outstanding photography. You and Jer did a fabulous job with her hair cut! I'm really glad the move is working out so well for ALL of you. It seriously does make my heart happy!

What a lovely CAS panel Loll - the subtle inking on the EF is so pretty behind your simple bloom! I'm so glad to hear that everything is working out so well with your move and new roomies! How lovely that Jessie also is enjoying the new location! She is just adorable and looks lovely with her new cut!

I'm so happy for you, Loll! It is awesome when we can have family around and get the much-needed help too.
Your card is beautiful, I love the sweet embossing folder inked up -- it makes a great background for your fun but delicate flower. So cute!

Love that EF you've used Loll, such a pretty background to the die cut bloom. Glad to hear that you've settled into your new digs and that Jessie has too. I think Max would be so much more settled if we lived where he could interact with more people and doggy friends instead of just us two and the family when we meet up. :)

Sounds like you are in your happy space. Have been Mia for some time now as we are moving also to be close to family. We sold our small farm and on the home stretch now. So missing my playtime but enjoying looking at others work. Haven't had time to comment but looking and you have entertained me with yours and made me happy. Big hugs my friend.

Beautiful card Loll...CAS perfection!! But like everyone else has said, Jessie kinda steals the show here!! She is just so dang CUTE and Alex sure knows how to photograph her! I'm so glad to hear that this move has been the right decision for all of you and that everyone has been settling in just fine! Getting older sure can be a pain, but so much easier when there's family to help! Lots of hugs my friend!! :0)

I love how you've colored this die cut flower and that awesome inked and embossed background, Lolly! It's hard to believe that Jessie is five already and she's still a beauty. I'm so glad you are enjoying your new living situation. I pray your blessings continue.

That was the perfect folder to ink up and display behind your darling little flower.
I'm so glad that your decision to move in with your son is working out so well, Loll. We made that decision 3 1/2 years ago although it is only part-time. We have our own living space but share a kitchen and cooking duties. But it does give me time to spend with my daughter as she says "before I have to start taking care of you."

The inking of the EF has turned out beautifully Loll, and the pretty watercoloured flower looks wonderful over the top, and finished with the green 'Hello' sentiment..just perfect. I am so glad that you are settled in with the family and all is really good, and what a lovely photo of sweet Jessie, and she is obviously enjoying have lots of walks and with more people around lots more play time and attention. x

Thank you for sharing how happy ALL the family has become now that you are all living together:-) All your photos and little stories are a joy and so appreciated:-) Wishing you all a wonderful Spring and Summer, etc:-) I Can't wait to see and read more "Family Stories" :-) Love and Big Hugs to you all:-) Nancy and Denny...we are enjoying our beautiful Spring weather and gardening season:-)

Love your beautiful CAS card Loll, I haven't inked an EF lately and they make lovely backgrounds. Also so pleased for you and hubby and Jessie that you're settling in nicely with family... I love having our son with us - he's a great cook too. Fabulous photo of Jessie.. a lovely dog. Have a beautiful day, hugs Robyn

A lovely card today, Loll. Love the colors and simplicity of the flower on the background. Like all, am happy to hear you are pleased with your new digs and LOVE seeing a picture of Jessie who looks great. Hugs to you.

This embossing folder features a background of flowers and complements our Bergenia Builder Stamp Set. Instead of achieving merely two levels of embossed texture, this folder will produce three-dimensional shaped designs to enhance your creations. Simply run through your die cutter following the manufacturer's instructions for 3D embossing folders, and you're all set!

This folder is lovely used on plain paper or with blended or dies Ted cardstock. Inking the folder before passing through the machine gives elegant results too. I even folded 4-5 layers of TP and embossed it for a stunning look.

I learned to embroider when I was a kid, when everyone was really into cross stitch (remember the '80s?). Eventually, I migrated to surface embroidery, teaching myself with whatever I could get my hands on...read more

And, by the way, if you are (like me!) a sucker for all things William Morris and you like pretty organizational supplies, the V&A webstore on Amazon stocks these William Morris folders. There are eight in a package, two of each design.

Thanks for the review on these lovely file folders I love these they are so pretty and a great way to organise patterns I must have, I will order these because as well as being pretty, as you say they are functional and will cheer up my embroidery shelves. Thanks for the review.

If you have Microsoft Word or a similar program, you can use the fonts included. You can also get free fonts on the internet. The fonts can be printed at any size. If you click on the font size box you can change the number to whatever size you want. You are not limited to the maximum size of 72 on MS Word. Just type in 150 200 etc. You may have to select landscape printing if the letters are very large and you want to use the system spacing and not line up the letters manually.

Hi Mary,
Love the William Morris file folders! Oh, to be that organized! I had a quick question about preparing linen for a project. I am getting ready to start a crewel project on linen, to be upholstered on a dining chair (seat and back). Should I preshrink the linen before I start embroidering? I know I will have lots of hours into this project and I want to do it right.

I use three ring binders that I have added plastic pocket folders. I am no perfectly organized. My tip is to load up on one inch 3-ring binders and plastic pocket folders during back-to-school sales. Usually someone offers them at 10-15 cents each for a week. I also use the plastic from folders for making applique template that I will reuse. You could do the same for simple embroidery shapes, like hearts.

Love the William Morris folders. I have a daughter living in Upper Walthamstow London, and last year I took a short bus ride to the William Morris house, you would love this place. Although the house was filled with the history of The Morris family it was wonderful, such a diverse family and gardens are a picture as well. Well worth the visit, will go again when in London. My home is Australia. Valda.
