I have a Blink doorbell for my apartment and after jumping thru hoops to get it to stay connected to my WiFi, I just got hit with my doorbell going offline due to the batteries dying. They were brand new Energizer Max batteries that I put in a little over 30 days ago. The doorbell is running off its own WiFi network and router separate from everything else in my apartment. The only thing I can think of is the unnecessary motion triggers from squirrels and the tree right in front of my stairwell that's causing the batteries to drain. Is it also true that severe weather can cause them to drain quicker too? If so, it has been storming for the last 2 weeks straight here.
There does not seem to be an issue with pending notifications or battery level. The manual does not have any notes on blink codes. Does anyone have a hint as to how to turn the blink off or why it may be doing this?

Setting up the Blink Video Doorbell is relatively straightforward, though the somewhat flimsy backplate makes it a bit tough to install (more on that below). To get started, scan the QR code on the inside of the packaging and follow the in-app instructions for installation. To remove the backplate, push the included pin into the hole on the bottom of the doorbell and lift up the cover. This is where two AA batteries go (included with your purchase). The doorbell is also compatible with existing wiring.

Installation & Setup- The doorbell is simply installed by a plate that goes on the preferred location. Once the plate is installed the unit can then attach to the plate. Two AA batteries are supplied with the unit and can be inserted into the device. Once powered on the doorbell camera can be set up via the Blink Home Monitor app with instructions to set up an account. The doorbell does require a Wi-Fi connection to work properly.
Blink Plus Subscription- The Blink Plus Subscription plan allows the storage of videos recording by the blink doorbell or any blink device at a fee and is stored via an online cloud. The plan has multiple options including service for 1 device or unlimited devices at a higher fee and can be paid either monthly or yearly.
Sync Module 2- This is an accessory to any blink device can allow storage of any blink device without charging a monthly fee. It works by connecting the device to an internet connection and inserting a USB drive into the device. Once setup it will store any blink device's recordings. The Blink cameras are now easier to control with.[12]
The doorbell has a lot of customization options. You can adjust its retrigger time, the sensitivity of the camera itself, how long each clip is (between five and 30 seconds), and even whether night vision is on, off, or automatic. You can control the intensity of the infrared light, too. All of these options are surprising, especially when you consider that many higher-end models lack this level of customization.
One additional interesting feature of this video doorbell is the inclusion of the Ring Neighbors App. You can access it through the Blink app and gain access to a lot of features, including community alerts about suspicious activity.
