Living with
murky
As an extension of Melanie’s
current investigations on a choreographic project, the morning class
will focus on subtexts, nuance, hidden agendas and generally murky
messages that are inevitably part of the contact improvisation
practice. The intent is not to clarify communication but in fact
to read and be aware of multi-layered communication as part of the
rich texture in improvisation. Living with murky is an attempt
to feel at home amidst indecision, mixed messages and ambiguity—a
place where things are really at their juiciest and most
promising.
Morning class: 10pm to 1pm,
$15
Break for lunch
Afternoon jam: 2pm to 5pm.
