 DANCEZINE GOES GREEN IN 2009.

In the interest of serving our dance community better  including considerations of the environment and  cost,  I am  proud to announce that the Dancezine will go  electronic  and will no longer be offered in paper
form. We are "
GOING GREEN"  and will move to an electronic version in the coming months.  The benefits are many -  the newsletter will be more  up to date, have a later deadline for submissions, complete with live links and color photos, and it will allow for the submission of articles via our website.  I am very excited for the opportunities the newsletter will afford.  Thanks to our members for your support and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at

AN EARFUL OF DANCE - The podcast's latest episode is now online!
Get your earful of VICTORIA MARKS, SARA WOOKEY and host ARIANNE HOFFMANN talking about David Gordon's "Trying Times (remembered)" (REDCAT, December 08). Central to the conversation is the question of "what a dance is," while memory, history, and dance training also play key roles.  To listen/download/subscribe, go to www.anearfulofdance.com

LAUSD FREEZES ALL ACTIVITY FOR THE ACPN PARTNERS.
PLEASE WRITE LETTERS AND SIGN A PETITION TO SAVE THE ARTS IN OUR SCHOOLS. MEMBER DANCE COMPANIES WILL FEEL THE IMPACT!
Although we have "binding contracts" with schools, we were informed that the program is
in jeopardy and to stop until resolved.  http://www.artsforla.org/blog/2008/12/lausd_acpn
tells the story. These is also a petition to sign at
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/restore-funding-for-lausds-arts-partners.
Thanks for the help. This severely affects those of us in acpn both in our budgets for which we have signed contracts for the work, and in the educational activities that will have to be canceled.

DANCEZINE GOES GREEN IN 2009!
In the interest of serving our dance community better  including considerations of the environment and  cost,  I am  proud to announce that the Dancezine will go  electronic  and will no longer be offered in paper form. We are "GOING GREEN"  and will move to an electronic version in the coming months.  The benefits are many -  the newsletter will be more  up to date, have a later deadline for submissions, complete with live links and color photos, and it will allow for the submission of articles via our website.  I am very excited for the opportunities the newsletter will afford.  Thanks to our members for your support and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at danc...@drc-la.org.
