Dear Students,

Please consider enrolling in our Solidworks Class (GE212) (3 units CSU:UC): Saturdays 9:00am to 5pm which may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Most of the class period is optional lab time.

Solidworks is a 3D modelling software program that is used by designers and engineers. It is used in industry to design everything from Disney toothbrushes to the robotic arm on the Mars Rover. The instructor is very knowledgeable in his field and some students who have taken the class twice as their only experience with the software have got entry level jobs paying $25/hour. If you are an engineering student, knowing Solidworks will give you an edge when you transfer and get involved in project work.

We also have a CNC machine shop and MasterCAM software that can be used to automate the manufacture of designs made in Solidworks.

Thanks for helping us keep this class open.

Regards,

JB
