All the same things have happened to me. But mine was purchased on Ebay secondhand. The seller reached out to toontrack by emailing because he unauthorized and no longer had the serial numbers to register.
I have also, currently, run into the same issue. I purchased EZDrummer 2 and check out as a guest via PayPal Credit, and upon completion of my purchase, I was prompted to create an account. However, I never received any sort of download link or serial number or anything that would provide me with the product I just purchase. I emailed Toontrack immediately and am currently waiting on an response.
If you were logged into your Toontrack account at the time of purchase and selected the auto register product option, they will be registered to your account. If not, you should have got an invoice after purchase that had your serial numbers. Register those serial numbers in Product Manager to download your products.
Clicking the triangle button in the corner of a MIDI item brings up an Edit Play Style overlay that allows you to set how each item in the current MIDI selection is played; for example, a ride can be set for Mute Hit, Edge, Bell, or Bow. Also, the number of hits per loop can be set for each individual item. These two features are particularly nice for adding variations of the same MIDI item to capture different feels without tons of MIDI editing.
As far as value is concerned, I think Toontrack is charging a fair price for the functionality, sound quality, and attention to detail EZDrummer 2. One caveat, however, is that it has a smaller amount of kits available in the core version as compared to the other drum plugins in this review series. There are tons of additional kits and MIDI packs available via their web store and EZX expansions, possibly more than any other plugin in the round-up, however in terms of out-of-the-box number of kits for the price EZDrummer 2 is towards the back of the pack. Their business model appears to focus more on selling additional kits, which is evidenced by the fact that I was unable to find a bundle that includes the entire line of EZX expansions and MIDI for one round price.
Well, technically yes, but you would still require a serial number to gain access to the product and authorize it. EZdrummer Lite is only available when bundled with third party hardware, magazines and other software products.
Have you found an EZdrummer Lite serial on the packaging of your latest hardware, magazine or software purchase?
Congratulations! Register your EZdrummer Lite serial in your www.toontrack.com user account and you are eligible to upgrade to a full version of EZdrummer at a great price!
Moving away from the samples for a moment, it is very clear that Toontrack has been listening intently to its users, and in doing so has initiated a significant number of new features and improvements, to allow for easier editing and more realistic performance.
Hi. I haven't installed the core library yet. I noticed that in the installation process the stand alone app was not checked. I left it that way and installed it anyway. So Of course I don't have a standalone app for ezdrummer 3 but still have the vst to use it on a daw software. And it has sounds. So don't really know what is the core library for, and if I still have to install it despite the fact that is enough for me to use it on a daw software.
