It sounds like you have a Roku Voice Remote Pro. This model has a rechargeable battery. There is a port on the bottom of the remote, under the purple Roku tag, where you can plug in a micro-USB cable connected to a charger. If it is still functional after tearing it apart, you should be able to charge it and use it.

Hello community, I have a Roku device with Crunchyroll installed for about 2 years without any problem with an annual subscription, but this week I had problems with the application, especially with the remote control, since when I navigate the platform when I press the arrow buttons, it advances about 2 or 3 times. The control is good since in other applications such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ it works normally, this only happens with Crunchyroll. I have disassembled it and it is clean, it has no dirt, grease or any liquid. What can be? greetings

Given the information in this article I purchased the Roku Express and UGREEN micro USB to RJ45 Ethernet network adapter. Upon starting up the Roku to register it, the remote control would not work at all. I could see the screen on the Roku to select my language but could not navigate with the remote. I tried replacing the usb ethernet adapter with the original usb power supply and the remote control magically starts working and I have no issues.

Is there some trick to get the remote control to work with the UGREEN micro USB to RJ45 Ethernet network adapter that Roku claims works with the Roku Express model I purchased? Right now it is nothing more than a paperweight for me.

I've tried 5v 1a and 5v 2.4a and get the same thing. It's something with the USB network adapter that doesn't let the remote work, but beyond that I can't figure it out. Works just fine with the normal power adapter.

These days, most TVs are hooked up to all sorts of external devices like gaming consoles, streaming services, Blu-ray players, and even set-top boxes. This can make it confusing when you want to turn on the TV or turn off a console - which remote should you be using? You can streamline the process by using just one remote to control your Smart TV and other devices. For instance, you can rely on your Samsung universal remote or Amazon Fire Stick to get the job done.

Samsung TVs available in stores and on our website come with a universal One Remote. The remote can control third-party devices that are connected to the TV via HDMI only. For instance, if a Blu-ray player or Xbox is connected via HDMI, you can point the universal remote at the Blu-ray player to begin controlling its functions!

Press the Home button on your TV remote to access the Home Screen. Using the directional pad on the remote, navigate to Source. When the selector is placed over Source, the Source menu will appear.

Third-party remotes, such as Sony PlayStation controllers or an Amazon Fire Stick, can be used to control a Samsung TV as well. You can find the latest TV models on the Samsung Shop that support third-party controllers and remotes.

If your Roku voice remote is not responding, press and hold the pairing button, which you can find in the battery compartment or on the back of your remote. Press the pairing button until you see the Status light flash green and move the remote close to your Roku device to pair it.

If you have a rechargeable voice remote, make sure that it is fully charged. If your Roku remote uses replaceable batteries, you should also try inserting fresh batteries and then try to pair it again. Doing this might resolve any issues you are having with your remote.

To reset an unresponsive Roku remote, unplug your Roku device from power and remove the batteries from your remote. Then plug your Roku device back in and wait until you see the Roku logo on your screen before reinserting the batteries. Finally, press the pairing button on your remote to pair it.

If your Roku remote is working, but you want to pair a new remote, you can press the Home button on your current remote and go to Settings > Remotes & devices > Remotes > Set up a new device. Then press the pairing button on your remote and follow the on-screen instructions.

Standard IR remotes use an invisible Infra-Red light to transmit remote key selections. To ensure IR remotes are operating reliably, they must be pointed directly at the front of your TCL Roku TV. To resolve issues with your standard IR remote, try the following:

The enhanced remotes connect over your wireless network and do not need to be pointed directly at your TCL Roku TV. This easy-to-use remote needs to be paired during initial TV setup. To resolve any issues with your enhanced remote, refer to the recommended steps below:

One of the most common reasons why a Roku remote may stop working are dead or faulty batteries. So, the first step is to check if the batteries are charged and placed correctly. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and replace the old batteries with new ones. Make sure they are inserted correctly according to the polarity markings.

If the batteries are not the issue, check the connections between the remote and the Roku device. When it comes to remotes using infrared light connection (you will recognize them by a lack of a pairing button inside the battery compartment), they need to have a direct line of sight with your Roku device. With RF radio wave-based remotes, simply ensure that there are no obstacles between your TV and the remote, such as furniture or walls.

If none of the above steps work, you can use the Roku mobile app as an alternative remote. Download and install the Roku app on your smartphone or tablet, and connect it to the same WiFi network as the Roku device.

Amazon offers a range of Roku remotes at competitive prices, with options for both the standard Roku remote and the more advanced voice-enabled remote. Plus, with Amazon Prime, you can take advantage of free and fast shipping, so you can get your new remote delivered to your doorstep in no time.

What to do if you have an LG TV remote app or a Samsung TV remote app and your Roku remote is not working? You can still use your Samsung or LG, however, you will have to forfeit Roku features and use the native interface, functions and apps on your TV.

If your TV or receiver supports HDMI-CEC, Apple TV uses the HDMI connection to allow it to be controlled by your TV or receiver remote. For more information, see the Apple Support article Control your TV or receiver with your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote.

Before you can use a network-based remote for home-control systems with Apple TV, you first need to add the remote to the Home app on an iOS or iPadOS device. Make sure the remote is turned on and connected to your network.

The only Roku remote that offers a voice-activated remote control finder is the $30 Voice Remote Pro. It can be purchased separately and paired with any current Roku device, or you can get it bundled with the Roku Streaming Stick 4K in the Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus package. The Roku Ultra also comes with a remote finder feature, but you'll need to press a button on the body of the Ultra device to activate it.

If you're not sure if you have a compatible remote, you can check by flipping it over and looking at its back. If you see a small speaker grille on the top half of your remote, the remote finder function will work.

You can check if you have a Voice Remote Pro by finding out how your remote charges. The Voice Remote Pro is the only remote in the Roku lineup with an internal rechargeable battery. There should be a slot for the Micro-USB charging cable at the very bottom of the remote, right underneath the purple Roku fabric tag. If you have that, then all you have to do is say, "Hey, Roku, find my remote," and the remote will automatically turn on your TV and start emitting a high-pitched beeping sound so you can locate it. Once you find your remote, you can press any button to stop the sound.

If your remote has a speaker grille, but runs on regular disposable batteries, you'll need to head over to the Roku device itself. The Roku Ultra has a special remote finder button on the right-hand side of the box. When you press this, the remote will emit a sound until you locate it and press any button.

Roku also provides applications for iOS and Android that will turn your mobile devices into fully functioning Wi-Fi remotes. Upon opening the app, navigate to the devices tab, which will bring up a list of all of the Roku devices in your house. Tap on the device you want to control and the app will connect to it. You'll then be able to tap on the "remote" function for that device, which will bring up a full-screen remote control. From here, you should have full control over your Roku.

To use the Roku App to find your remote, just tap the microphone button and say, "Hey, Roku, find my remote." This will automatically trigger the beeping sound from your compatible remote. Once again, you can press any button on the remote when you find it to make the sound stop.

To change the sound, go to Settings > Remote and select Change remote finder sound. To preview the sound you selected, click Preview remote finder sound.

If you can't seem to locate your Roku remote, you're not totally out of luck. Roku offers replacement remotes, but the $30 Voice Remote Pro is the only one the company sells with a remote finder feature.
