Hi All,

I noticed recently that the LPC_Link2 card on my LabTool board seemed to be running OK but quite hot.

The two analog channels were activated - no digital channels. The sample rate was 20 MHz.

Using a cheap non-contact thermometer, the area on above the LPC4370 showed temperatures of 48 - 52 C when the unit was sampling against 42 - 43 C when not sampling, The ambient temperature was around 25 C.

Is this normal?

Thanks.

JohnR.

Hi John,

Yes, it is known that the board gets hot. Please have a look at section 7.1 in the User's Manual.

Best regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thanks - I had missed that paragraph.

John.
