Hey everybody,

A week ago, due to the new license agreement from conda, we set up the labscript environment in our lab again and switched from conda to pip. The experiment is running again, but we are encountering a bug (that fortunately does not hinder the progress of the experiment), which I have not yet been able to solve.
When we recompile BLACS, none of the globals are recognized:

I also set up the same environment (with pip) on another working station and encounter the same bug. Now I was wondering if I made the same mistake twice during installation, if it maybe is a know bug I could not find in the forum so far or if it is a new issue.
Since runmanager is compiling the shots successfully and blacs is executing/running the shots the way it should I guess there should be a quick fix for it I could not find yet. Perhaps the folder path of the globals file is not recognized correctly by BLACS or is incorrect? So far I have not been able to find the place in the labscript where the problem occurs.

I appreciate any help or hint and thank you.
Best regards,
Nelson

Hi Nelson,

BLACS has preferences/settings for the connection table that allow you to list the global's files that should be used. It sounds like these have been cleared. This should be accessible for the connection table menu (next to the file menu).

Cheers,
Phil

Good morning Phil,

thank you for the fast reply and the easy fix. Almost embarrassing for me not to have checked this, so thank you all the more for your time!

Cheers,
Nelson
