Dear Sisters and Associates,

Living in France has been a joy and pleasure for me over these last 17 months. However, France is going through some tough times right now and I can't help but be affected. 

You have probably heard of the Gilets Jaunes (yellow vests) demonstrating in the streets all over the country. Many of these demonstrations have become violent, as in Paris and various other cities including Le Puy. I'm documenting this big event with three articles.

The first article is about the Gilet Jaunes which includes a brief explanation on who they are, what they want, and what they are doing throughout the country.

On December 1 the Gilets Jaunes held their first march in Le Puy. They ended up at the Prefecture and it turned violent. Here's the story on that.

I should add that the violence in Le Puy is in a confined area and we at the International Centre are in no danger.
