Hi Larry,

Excellent catch! I'm surprised CalTrans didn't use the more ominous
"Next Exit" nomenclature instead, though. :)

Except that it really should be...

Playa Vista
Exit 9A

...or whatever the actual number is.

But it's nice to know contacting Caltrans can actually get results.
Perhaps I should email them about two signs before the Coldwater Canyon
exit on northbound U.S. 101. One says, in its entirety...

L.A. Valley
College

...and the other one is...

N. Hollywood
Next Exit

The latter is true, but odd in its placement (several prior exits serve
North Hollywood better, and if you're gonna choose just one, Lankershim
would probably be the best); I'm not sure what the deal is with the
former, because there's no blank space and/or greenout on the sign.
