Job Description The Radar Engineer reports
to the the Comm/Nav/Surv
IPT and works with other IPTs to integrate existing radar functions
into
the
C-130 AMP architecture. Specific tasking includes: radar system
analysis
and
design; integration, implementation, and test of the radar systems
that
are
installed in each C-130 MDS; verification of radar system performance
features using modeling and simulation in laboratory environments,
demonstrating prototype radar systems, and generating test procedures
and
performing compliance testing during ground and flight tests; and
maintaining close coordination with suppliers, internal teams,
and the
Air
Force customer.
Job Skills & Qualifications Minimum 15 years experience
in avionics
assignments on a large scale weapons system is required. Knowledge
of
and
experience with Airborne Radar are required. Knowledge of Radar
Signal
Processing, including microprossor components is desired. Knowledge
of
weapon systems, avionics systems, airborne computers and electronic
warfare
systems is required. Excellent communication skills and ability
to work
complex solutions within an inter-disciplinary team are required.
Knowledge
of the system engineering process from requirements definition
through
verification is required. Experience in aircraft modification programs
is
desired. DOORS expertise is a plus. History of successful supplier
coordination is required. Secret Clearance or have the ability
to
obtain
one.
