Ms. Jie Geng Joins the Art Castle

Exhibit openned Oct.10th


Ms. Jie Geng was born in Hangzhou, China in 1966. She studied with many
artists before she formally started her art career. In 1990 she graduated
with a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts from the China Fine Arts Academy and
became an art teacher in Zhejiang Normal College. In 1995 she immigrated to
the United States and started her career in the new country.

Ms. Geng's paintings focus on birds and flowers. A style of Sung Dynasty
(960-1279 A.D.) can usually be seen in her work. The tranquility, fuzziness
and a bit of sentimentalism in her paintings reflect her own
characteristics.

The paintings of Ms. Geng are appreciated and collected in Asia as well as
in the United States.
