Just checking to see if you have anyone who can participate in our Brighter Horizons Event, March 10th.  I have attached the forms.  We need to know by December 1st in order to get the brochure together.

Additionally, do you have a contact phone number where I can reach you when I have more information about the STEM Event at CLU February 15th.

Hi Carlyn,

Just checking in.  I don't have additional details at this time for the STEM Event at CLU February 15th at 5:30 PM.  However, I did mention to you if you would be interested in another event that our branch is having on Saturday March 10, 2011.  We would like to invite you to be a presenter to 5th through 9th graders from Ventura County. 

Here is the invitation letter.  I have also attached the presenter form and a copy of last year's brochure.  Let me know if you can join us on Saturday, March 10, 2011, if not could you pass this on to one of your female colleagues?

Dear Carlyn,

 

As a role model for young women in our community, we invite you to participate in Brighter Horizons 2012.  We are in the process of selecting our workshop leaders for AAUW Brighter Horizons 2012.  We hope that you can find time in your busy schedule to volunteer to speak at this exciting event. Our goal is to give students hands on workshops that motivate them to excel in science, math and technology.

 

Date:               March 10^th, 2012, Saturday

Location:        California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks

Time:              8-Noon

 

Enclosed is a workshop leader application.  Please fill it out and return it before December 1^st.  I have enclosed a brochure from our 2010 event so that you can see the variety and types of workshops we are providing.

 

Our format is the same as in the past.  You will present three 50 minute workshops.  Each group of students will have approximately 30 students.

 

If you know of other potential leaders who are interested in participating, please send me their contact information, and I will personally follow up with them.
