That day works for me. I also just realized that we could potentially do
it at my boyfriend's giant house in Studio City (/bragging), which he
probably will only be in for another couple of months. IThere is a giant TV
and tons of space (sorry, *now* I'm done bragging) so it would work well
for sitting around watching things. Amy's apartment is great too, so
either way is good. But he said that we are welcome to use the house so it
might be fun for this round while he is living there?

Hm OKAY so I have been talking to my boyfriend and there has been some drama going on with one of the roommates over the last week or so, which COULD be resolved by this Sunday but it is still up in the air.  So after dangling that offer, I'm afraid it might be better if we go with another location for this weekend just so that there is no awkwardness.  In the future, it would be a really nice place to hold a pin-up (particularly if this one roommate is out of the picture), but for now maybe we could plan on somewhere else? So sorry, guys!!  I was really hoping it would work out because I was looking forward to hosting!

Also, who is going to the Urban Craft Center thing? That place looks great, I am pumped.

Okay, then let's totally do it at my place!  Is the afternoon a good time for people?  I have to open my library on Monday mornings right now, so I go to bed very early Sunday nights.

Also, if someone has an HDMI cable and could bring it over, that would be great, as my roommate took hers with her when she moved out.

Thanks Amy! I bought some trader joes goodies to bring (we will drink wine in the afternoon, right? It's sunday, totally falls in the brunch category? Yes?) . earlier afternoon works best for me, even like 1230 or 1p but I don't know if that is crazy early for people. Either that or late afternoon..4ish or so... Is best. But obviously if mid afternoon is best for folks I can totally deal.

Yay! See some of you tomorrow? Two pin ups in one weekend, oh boy!

Hey guys!  The most awesome thing has happened; my work schedule was changed.  New people hired, people leaving, etc etc, I no longer have to open the library ever again.  I am so relieved about the change that I've almost started to like my job.

So, let's say 4pm.  And let me know about the HDMI cable -- I'll ask around to see if anyone I know has one.

Hey! 4pm on Sunday sounds great! That is TOOOtally wine-drinking hour. I'll bring something sweet, as I am wont to do. Unfortunately, I don't have an HDMI cable, so I can't contribute in that way. But, I do have a lot of love for Downton and its residents, which I shall bring ALL of with me to Amy's house. Along with sweets. 

And, it looks as though I suddenly can't make the other pin-up, but those of you going, have fun! Craft something cool!

Another option is for all of us to check our local library and see if Ssn 1 is in (a lot of the branches have it, but alas not mine)... although not sure if Amy has a DVD player.  I have the cable that connects a laptop to a projector/ monitor but I'm assuming that isn't what we need?  If we were thinking Ssn 2, I have several of the episodes (though not the first couple) in HD quality on my computer, which would be better than streaming, so I could bring that.

Since HDMI, I think, transmits both video and sound from the computer to the TV.  It's a pretty specific thing, I admit.  I can try to swing by an electronics store later today and see if I can pick one up for an affordable price.

And two other things!

1. I invited a friend who may be joining us tomorrow-- she is not a Hairpin reader as far as I know, but she is a costume designer and was totally psyched to hear that people I know sit around and do crafts and watch costume dramas.  She just finished working on the Hunger Games movie and is currently making a bunch of costumes for pigs (??).  I thought she would probably fit in well with this crowd :)

2. I cut off all my hair and it is super short. I have this fear that people I have only met once or twice will not know who I am, so wanted to give y'all the heads up.  It is still meee.
