Mary,
Thanks for taking care of this. The ones that are not getting water are 232 Oasis and 332 Palm. I do not know for sure if 324 Oasis is getting any. It had a bad valve.
I was really wondering if before spending money on fixing the units not getting water, if we should put that money into Xeriscaping. None of these units have much lawn and the water saved could pay for the work in the long run. If I was looking at doing that on the whole complex, I would leave the big lawns in the “U” shaped court yards and take out everything else. It would be easy to leave the trees and be done with the rest. We spend 1/3 of our annual cost on water and it will only go up. I would think we could save $50000 a year if we got rid of lawn. I don’t know what the change would cost, but the care should be lower too. I wonder if there aren’t any city or state grant to assist in this?
I was also wondering what the plan is for the community building. If we are going to spend $15000 on the roof, we should have some idea of what will be gained by having the building.
I hope we can get some general maintenance requirements and backyard cleanup requirements in the HOA rules. Also motion on the foreclosure for non-payment would be great. Many of the poorly kept units are Robby’s old units and they bring down the whole complex.
Thanks,
John
