Mary,
For the past several months I have asked about the time for the next board meeting AND I have asked several questions about the management of the association. I never received an announcement or explanation. Now I find out they have elected a new board and set a new budget without my ever getting notice of the meeting or the plans. What gives with this? I do not believe that board elections are supposed to be held in secret. Where is the legally required transparency in this HOA? I have included a screen shot of the G-8 “Team” listed on their website and as you can see, they are the same as our board. They are the poorest management team I have ever encountered. They have a total lack of communication skills. Based on the number of empty units in La Mirage, I assume they are losing piles of money. They seem unwilling to reach out to the local owners and HOA members that could give them some good advice. Their short sighted approach to the management and investment in this complex is the problem. My only solace is that they own several hundred of these units and I only own a handful. I continue to get higher rents and good long term renters from the pool of renters that their management approach drives out.
I am still waiting for the answers to my questions in my previous email. If you have forgotten them or lost them, I would be glad to resend them.
John Ellis
