Mi konsentas ke cxipsoj ne signifu "pommes frites". Ni ja ne
logxas en britio....

Kion mi jes sxatus scii estas, cxu jam ekzistas termino iom pli
gxenerala, por la frititaj, kutime salitaj, frandajxoj el faruno,
terpomo, fromagxo, maizo, ktp.
La nederlanda termino estas "zoutjes"
