L6 Golf Scramble... a SUCCESS!

As you all know, yesterday was our first fundraiser for The L6
Foundation! It was extremely successful! Before I go any further on
this, there are some special people I'd like to thank for their hard
work and dedication to the cause...
Nick Overkamp, our L6 Golf Scramble Chairman. Nick, thank you for
going the extra mile to help make this event the success that it was!
Nick arranged many aspects of the golf scramble and put in many hours
of his time.
Nikki Udelhofen, our Volunteer Coordinator. Nikki helped make sure
that we had our volunteers on hand to help with the day's events.
Without her, we would have been lost!
Our Volunteers: Kate Baumann, Aaron Bockman, Joe Brandt, Cristina
Brinson, Kathy Hughes, Mickey Reynolds, Vicki Reynolds, John Shocklee
and Jen Whittner. You guys were incredible, did what ever was needed
and helped make our first event as a foundation one to remember!

Now to the numbers....
We raised just about $8600 for the foundation!!! We had 68 golfers, a
great number for our first event as a foundation! Everyone really was
wonderful! We had almost all golfers participate in our Mulligans,
Skins and Putting contest, the raffles were extremely successful as
were our 50/50 tickets! The silent auction did very well also!
All in all it was a wonderful day, the sun came out shortly after golf
got on it's way and everyone really enjoyed themselves!
For those of you who were there yesterday, please feel free to email
me and let us know your thoughts for improvements for next year. We
welcome any and all ideas. Don't be shy!
Please don't forget that our 5K Run/Walk is going to be held on
Saturday, August 25 in the Chesterfield Valley. Information should be
available on our website this coming week. You can register online
now by going to www.active.com and searching for our "individual"
event. We look forward to seeing everyone at the 5K!
