A quick summary to keep you updated:
The L6 Golf Scramble will take place on Friday, June 29, 2007 at The
Landings at Spirit in Chesterfield. Registration begins at 11:30am,
with shotgun start at 1:30pm sharp. Lunch and drinks will be
provided. A total of 18 holes are available for sponsorships, by
individuals or corporations, at only $250. Please, act soon. Our
preference is to have all hole sponsors registered no later than two
weeks in advance, ensuring your sign is ready to be placed on the tee-
box. There is a limit to total number of golfers allowed per 18
holes. Sign your 4-man scramble team up early to avoid being left out
of the foundation's first fundraiser for TBI. The flyer (with
complete details) and the ability to register can be found on the
www.LauraLaughlinL6.org website, under the EVENTS link.
The L6 5K Run/Walk presented by Emerson Process Management has been
scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2007 in the Chesterfield Valley.
The event will include 5K course, 1 mile course, food, beverages,
entertainment, race t-shirt, professional timing, age group awards,
etc. All for $20 (if registered before August 1)! Last year, nearly
1400 people participated. The goal this year is 2000, which would make
this the second largest event timed by Fleet Feet, in only two short
years! Help us reach this goal. Registration will soon be available
online.
The first Board meeting took place on Tuesday, May 15! Many issues
were discussed including expanding our Board (now at 8 members and
growing), defining roles, brainstorming ideas to grow, increasing
awareness and recognition, sharing our current collaborations with
existing brain injury organizations in the STL metro area, and
establishing a focused game plan.
We are requesting your assistance in the field of action. Our Board is
utilizing their efforts and network of contacts to achieve increases
in participants and sponsorships. Only with your help can a beautiful
synergy exist. Please, print out fliers, hand them out to your family,
to your friends, at your work. Ask others to join you in participating
and ask your companies to support this fight against an ever-
increasing societal dilemma.
We're in this together. Thanks for your support. See you at the
upcoming events! Let's make a difference... together!

* Thanks for all of you who made us aware of the TBI suffered by 12-
year old Sean Glanvill. For more specifics, you can visit his care
page at www.carepages.com (SeanGlanvill, password: penny1). Feel free
to post a message of encouragement to their message board. At this
point, they are simply requesting prayer on Sean's behalf. We met with
his parents on Thursday evening and have offered up and provided a few
of our services and will continue to be available to Sean's parents to
aid in their fight with TBI. Thanks for caring enough to notify our
organization.
