Hey Gang!

It's a new month and a new session of L5R approaches. Game is Saturday, March 26th and before we get there I am pretty sure you guys got stuff you want to do in downtime. So same routine as last month.

You may send the following to my personal email pjthi...@gmail.com

Anything that needs to be resolved/answered that can be taken care via email be sure to include "L5R Question"  or "L5R Misc" in the subject line and I will see to it that your questions are answered and you issue resolved. I try to respond within 12 hours, usually much quicker.

If you know you have a scene that you want run at next session I want you to email them to me with the subject line "L5R Scene Request" and I need them no later than Wednesday the 23rd. I will get your scene assigned to a ST, that way when you show up to game on Saturday you will know at the start of game which ST you will need to see for your scene. I hope to have these posted at game. Of course scene requests can be added at game, but we would like to have them ahead of time if possible so we know how much time we will need to allot for individuals.

I will make myself available the Monday before game (that's this Monday the 21st) from 5 pm to 8 pm at my place (aka Danny's place) to help resolve any issues that cannot be done via email. Email me with the subject "L5R Monday" if you plan on attending and tell me what you need so I can get any information you might want/need and I am prepared. If nobody responds I will not be there, so don't just decide to show up without telling me. This is NOT the running of any full blue booking scenes/sessions. This is to handle any lingering issues that need die roll confirmations before game on Saturday. I will happily sit down and discuss what you need/want to do, but this is NOT in character, I do not do full blue booking.

Thanks

Pete

Hello all,

Two major announcements.

We are now down to a significantly smaller staff and this means that we're going to have to go through some game restructuring in order to make things work.  From here forward we're going to start setting time limits on sub-scenes that take GMs away from the main game as a whole until we have enough staff to where this will not end up with players being neglected as well as limit available NPCs per game to keep the flow of things more open.  While obviously not a hard and fast rule; this will change how scene sign up goes.  There will literally be time slots to fill in scene requests and we will attempt to schedule events as close to the actual time so players can plan their game time accordingly.  The formula for scene time is as follows – 15 minutes per every 2 players up to a maximum of 1 hour.  That is to say 4 players can request up to 30 minutes to investigate something.  6 players can request up to 45 minutes to investigate something.  8 or more players can request up to an hour.  Obviously combat scenes will not be cut off but this time will be counted.

This situation will continue until we have a full staff of 5 or more.

The second announcement is that this current story arc is set to run through April-May before we switch to our Summer Season of battle and war.  At the end of game in May announcements will be made for what locations you wish your character to be in.  This will set your location for the Summer season.  Communication with people in different areas during this season will be difficult and slow; effectively we will be breaking into several smaller games (all held concurrently) as we resolve the changes in the world that lead up to Winter Court.
I will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week; the 22nd and 23rd, to do full blue book scenes.  I'm going to be home from 5:30 and run scenes and so on until 10pm.  Reminder: These are not meant to take the place of side games but meant to further plots and spread information in a more effective way since we have such a small staff.

Considering the last weekend in May is Memorial Day weekend, is game
still going to take place then?
