new player questions

I have a couple of questions before I can jump in this month.

1) I have seen conflicting data on which rules set is in use. Akira
says 4th, but the wiki says 3rd revised. I own 3rd unrevised, as well
as a smattering of 1st and (gasp!) 2nd. So, which rules rule Rokugan?

2) If the rules are sufficiently different from 3rd unrevised, can I
schedule a time to create a character prior to game date with someone
who has the appropriate rules? I'm generally free Monday and Wednesday
evenings, and various times on weekends.

3) I noticed the House rules section of the Wiki is a dead link; is
there somewhere else these can be accessed?

Hey hey hey,

1.  We are using 4th edition rules.

2.  See 1.

3.  We don't so much actually have any house rules, aside from crafting (in that we have rules at all, thank you AEG).  We just made the link in case it came up some day.  It has not.

Please email characters to L5R.M...@gmail.com.  We'll get back to you if there is any special strangeness going on, but in general we're really open and accepting of all clans.  Except if you want to play a nezumi.  I'm prejudiced against them.

Since we have a new player bumrush, I will be available this Friday, from 10am to 8pm (maybe later, we'll see what ends up being reasonable), for bluebooking, rules questions, character creation, etc.  If you prefer to work on any of these things in person, please email the L5R.Madison gmail or you may call me at 317-522-7528 to set up a time to meet.  I might not answer my phone immediately, so please leave a voicemail, or I will not call you back.  Don't text me, please; I have a moral objection to them.  

This is mostly set aside for our new people to get stuff done for them, so they have first pick on times.  Other players with outstanding business are also certainly free to bluebook this Friday, but be understanding if I have to reschedule you.  I'll be at my apartment for bluebooking, though if Tish wants to get in on the action and move things to the Villa, we might do that too.

P.S.  Thank you players for your patience in our sometimes slow responses!  All of us GMs have a real job, or school, or job and school, along with other life concerns.  I know it's really frustrating to wait on us, and we really appreciate your understanding.

Ah crap, addendum to bluebooking this Friday.  Meetings MUST happen before 6pm, as I forgot I have Exalted.  I really love my Exalted game and will not miss it.  Mea culpa.

I think this Nezumi might be shortly lived if it's the same one I know of.
