I think it would be a lot easier to communicate on a discord than here and I dont think many know or use irc anymore.

I doubt they really care as they basically gave up sadly as they worry to much about playing the servers then putting out a solid build up.

Now saying that it is appropriated but go from having a  to do in order to not having any limits servers besides their's that Multiple people put in time building or testing the builds but few are able to access.

Gave up looking for any as I don't have the time to host one anymore let alone the one's up are all bot/buy servers that kinda ruined the private servers cause to be honest how many servers do you wanna restart fighting the same retards who say you cheat vs them who actually cheat and don't play out side fights but they use hacks.

A few of us still idle in the IRC channel, #l1j on Libera.  Every month or so, someone shows up to ask some questions, but they usually get tired of waiting and leave before anyone notices.  IRC is still very popular in the FOSS world BTW, especially with those who dislike proprietary chat platforms.

It is true that the project isn't being worked on currently.  Most are a bit too busy with work and other stuff right now to work on any side projects, or just moved on from gaming altogether.  Another big factor is that the "classic" version (the one that matches the final US release) is pretty good and really there's only very minor stuff that could use fixing.  There's a 3.63 branch that needs a lot of work though, if anyone's feeling froggy.

I was getting the same issue, but after i replaced the mysql java driver to version 8.0.22 in the /lib folder, the error went away.  I tried the included driver and the latest one 8.0.31 but both gave me that issue.

now if only i could successfully connect my client to the server...
