"L1J-EN Classic master" connection problem

hello. I live in South Korea and study and research this game as a hobby. I'll explain the issue I'm having.

What I did to build the server.
1. Install java
2. Install mysql
3. Install navicat
4. Place the downloaded l1j-en classic db in navicat
5. Run serverstart-console.bat
6. Create a server startup program with the downloaded 3.63 connector.
7. Move the connector and created files to the top directory of the client folder.
8. Run Login.exe

This should normally make your server run fine.
However, I ran into a few snags. It is expected that these issues will cause problems running the game. But it's not accurate. We need your opinion.

1. When you run the server console, the following message appears.
Server.main INFO: Telnet server is currently disabled.

2. When Login.exe is executed, the following message appears. It is sometimes different depending on the execution conditions.
- dummy error
- When the client is running, it is not connected until the login window and is forced to close
- Setmode Failed error


So I ask you to clarify this matter.

First question: What client should I use to run L1J-en classic master? justice? Tikal_Antharas?

Second question: What version of connector should I use? The 240 connector included in the project? 363 connector?

Third question: What operating system do you recommend? Windows 7? Windows 10?

Hello, it's nice to hear a word from South Korea.

1. For classic master is Lineage_Tikal_Antharas_Update client, also known as "S3ep1".
2. 240 connector is for classic master. For Justice you should use 363 connector.
3. Windows 7 is better for it, in my opinion. But if you managed to run in on Windows 10, it's all good. Telnet error is not critical, as far as I know.

The problem is now clear.
I followed your advice and went through the server settings again.
Unfortunately, the client is not running.

The following problems occur. (Different reactions appear depending on the execution conditions.)
1. I get an error message "setmode failed err 80004001".
2. The client does not run and is forcibly terminated.

I foresee the following problems.
1. Runs unstable in Windows 10.
2. Doesn't run on high resolution monitors. (1280 pixels or more)
3. The resolution of the monitor does not run at True Color 32-bit.
4. Doesn't run on AMD CPUs.

what i tried to solve this problem
1, 2 and 3 have been tried. But all failed. In general, problems 1,2,3 can be tested by reinstalling the operating system with VirtualBox, and can be solved through the Windows troubleshooter. However, for item 4, my computer is using an ASUS AMD cpu, so I couldn't test it with an Intel CPU.

conclusion
To solve item number 4, I will test it in the Intel CPU environment and write a review.

I'm surprised to hear it won't run on AMD CPU. Haven't seen complains about such a problem on forums of private servers.

By the way, there is "LineageHD", but author seem to work in private repository, so it's unlikely he'll share his work.
