Consolo Services is seeking for an experienced System Administrator / Dev Ops professional with proven experience in building, maintaining, optimizing and reliability of infrastructure.

Are you a highly-motivated self-starter, who thrives in a start-up environment with the ability to tackle challenging problems on tight schedule?
The System Administrator / Dev Ops position will be responsible for managing a Linux based infrastructure for the running of Ruby based web applications while providing support to a 24X7 production environment by acting as the first response to system issues. Will need to lead, build, and manage transition from Colo setup to a managed services/cloud infrastructure.   This position will initially be tasked to improving existing colo environment by reviewing LAN and related hardware as well as the configuration management system to design/build-out/deployments based on chef or puppet.  Manage and expand monitoring tools to ensure rapid detection and resolution of production issues. Play a lead role in capacity planning, hardware acquisition decisions. Must keep the production environment secure and will be responsible for daily operations, storage, back-up disaster recovery. This position will serve as the release master during software rollouts.

Requirements:
5+years of *NIX system administration experience

Postgres SQL administration a plus
Proficiency in scripting language (Perl, python, or Ruby) and shell scripting
Familiarity with Java Deployments
Great communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent
DB experience a plus
